GIFMIS TEAM PREPARES MANAGEMENT STAFF OF THE OAGF FOR ADDITIONAL DEPLOYMENT OF MODULES
A 2 day GIFMIS Dialogue session with the management staff of the office of the Accountant General of the Federation took place on Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th June respectively.
The three sessions which were chaired by the Director Funds, Inspectorate and Special Duties respectively is to sensitise and familiarize staff to the soon to be deployed GIFMIS 2 Release which consists of the Procurement, Cash planning, Revenue collection /Management and Reporting processes in GIFMIS.
The major change highlighted at the session is that all government business processes are now automated.
The first session was attended by staff of Special Duties,Funds, Revenue & Investment and Finance & Account departments while the second session had PR & IT, Consolidated Account, Federal Project Monitoring and Administration departments in attendance. The third session had only two departments namely Inspectorate and Audit Monitoring.
Every session had a lively question and answer time whereby clarifications and relevant contributions were made.
The Dialogue sessions ended with titled “The Interdependency of GIFMIS Application”and the appeal to the various departments to identify and submit the names of staff for specific roles to the Project Manager for training.
